This year Mya and I planted some Morning Glories on the hammock stand I built. Do you see the honey bee working? These flowers were beautiful this year and a joy to grow!
Next year, I plan on finishing the hammock stand (putting up some cross beams) so the Morning Glories and ivy I'll be planting can make it's way from one side to the other for shade.
One of things I enjoy is making my own soda. I’ve experimented with lemon soda, lemon-lime, and birch beer. I’m pretty good at making root beer. This time I’m trying to make Ale 8. It’s sort of a light lemony, ginger flavored soda. Version 1.0 isn’t right after carbonation. I used an entire bottle of lemon concentrate, a 4lb bag of white sugar, and grated 2 whole organic ginger roots and topped it off with water to make 5 gallons. Version 1.0 has too much lemon. Maybe I’ll use turbano sugar next time too. Next batch should be up prior to Christmas!
While rooting around in the compost pile (burying fresh compost), I found this!
Let’s see what happens! This year I also planted a few flowers.
Next year I plan on placing more flowers around the hammock stand and in the garden.

I've purchased some cattle panels to use as vertical growing spaces, and expanded the blueberry "operation" from 2 plants given to me from dad into 6 plants (4 additions-2 from WalMart and 2 from a local grower at the Farmer's Market in BG.).
So far I've learned:
